The firm is led by Mr. Saurabh Thukral, an experienced advocate and registered patent agent in India, whose deep expertise, in both legal and technical aspects of IP law, allows the firm to manage complex matters with precision. The Founder
Saurabh Thukral is an advocate and a patent agent specializing in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Commercial Laws since 2019. Saurabh graduated in science, majoring in Physics, from the University of Delhi before pursuing his profession in law. His interest in IP & Commercial law led him to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Law and Management from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. Additionally, he is a registered Patent Agent in India, having passed the Patent Agent Examination in 2022. He is pursuing an LLM in International Law from South Asian University, New Delhi, on the sideline.
Professionally, Saurabh has worked as an independent consultant with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks (CGPDTM). In this role, he focused on various legal tasks, including drafting affidavits, analysing international IP legislation, and providing legal inputs to the Legal and Litigation Cell under the CGPDTM. His responsibilities also included preparing drafts of affidavits and counter-affidavits for court filings, conducting detailed analyses of IP laws across different jurisdictions, and supporting the Secretariat in handling legal background work for stakeholder consultations on legal issues. Additionally, he conducted research in scientific, technical, and IP-related areas to assist in the development of the office’s legal strategies.
Before his role at the Office of CGPDTM, Saurabh was associated with a boutique law firm where he handled IPR prosecution, litigation, and commercial contracts. He gained valuable experience managing a diverse range of cases and legal matters within the realm of intellectual property. Furthermore, he broadened his legal expertise when he worked in corporate litigation, where he focused on dispute resolution in corporate law, real estate law, and intellectual property law.
Saurabh’s career demonstrates a strong commitment to the fields of intellectual property and commercial law, reinforced by a solid educational foundation and hands-on experience in a range of legal practices. His ongoing academic pursuits in international law further illustrate his dedication to staying informed about emerging developments in the global IP landscape and its legal implications.
